The ‘Man’.

The concept of becoming a ‘man’ in this day and age is the most horrific and brutal concept that I have ever come to realise.

I am not a man, I am a woman – let’s get this out of the way first, before the Neanderthalic masses flood my imaginary comment section – filled with the likes of the most extreme cases of delusions about the concept of Sociology in a modern context.

Let’s go back to the beginning to understand where this all started.

World War I and World War II.

Picture this … you’re in fucking World War I/II.

Just prior, a simple man, living a simple life, and overnight, you are expected to abandon your morals and potentially lose your one life, fighting in a war you know nothing about, other than that it is for your country. In the name of ‘patriotism’.

Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.” – Mark Twain.

Right?

Wrong.

Do not be fooled by the patriotic, paternalistic propaganda that the governments of the modern world perpetuate. It’s positively inane. And also keep in mind – the government NEVER deserve your one and only life, they have their own.

It is absolutely, in my belief, not a ‘man’s’ job to lay down their life, and submit to the lowest levels of human struggle, at the behest of their governments.

It is absolutely not the right of the government to then double down on this concept, and further portray that the only way to then contribute anything meaningful to society is by accessing hyper-‘masculine’ traits.

The ‘hatred’ of men, pushed by the likes of the Manosphere, is not based on lies. Yes, there has been a consistent push on the expectations of what it means to simply be male in this world, but this did not come from women.

It came from man’s natural enemy – authority.

Self-worth was never to be determined by the opinions of the government or society.

Hatred has spread as a tool, from those in power, to keep the masses in a state of war.

Why?

So they are always ready to be in a state of war.

Think about that, won’t you?

Being violent does not make you a ‘Man’.

Nothing can make you a man.

Why?

You’re a man regardless.

Just be a good fucking person, that’s all.

Psychologically speaking, however…

Two/Three generations of traumarised parent’s and grandparents, affected by wartime terror…

No wonder the entire world’s mental health is so messed up right now, right?

Not only is it messed up, but we also don’t even understand it yet.

In my generation (Gen Z), I believe some of us have begun discussing the above issue. The diagnosis of PTSD was only established (not discovered) in 1980 . We are so new to understanding our mental health, yet the government’s do not wish us to even comprehend human emotion.

Why is that?

Well, you won’t want to go to war if you recognise that you’re depressed.

And guess what? We are ALL depressed, right now.

Thanks, society.
